A time not so long ago, I would have read this and just rolled my eye's. thinking this was absolutely absurd. If I just decide something, events and circumstances will just happen to make it so. Masking, not so successfully I came to find out, and self medicating a recent Bi-Polar diagnosis that was spiraling out of control leaving me manic and then an extremely angry person.
